The Beaches Resort & Residences – Thailand’s First Integrated Resort in Bang Saray Bay, Thailand Oct 30

With the support of the Board of Investment of Thailand and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, The Beaches will be the new shining symbol of the country and will be the benchmark of destination resorts in Asia.

It has also joined with True Corporation, one of Thailand’s largest technology companies, to create Thailand’s first wireless lifestyle convergent communities which will feature state-of-the-art technology throughout the entire project.

The masterplan architect and designers behind the success of The Beaches Resort & Residences are award winning world class design firms – Carl Ettensperger of C&C Studio and Terry Henriksen of Henriksen Design Ltd, who have worked on 5-star hotel projects such as Mandarin Oriental, Hyatt Hotels, Ritz Carlton, Siam Paragon Bangkok, Huvafen Fushi Maldives (2008 Worlds Best Beach Resort, Harpers Bazaar Travel), Hard Rock Hotel – Universal Studios, Florida, and many more prestigious resorts.

Set over 88 rai of landscaped gardens, man-made beaches, and water lagoons, The Beaches private community will have four grand 5-star hotels, stunning water villas and Private Residences. The Beaches Resort has the best of everything – International Waterpark and Surf Park, The Beaches Longevity & Wellness Spa, state-of-the-art fitness club, a Grande Promenade with an international village with over 20 restaurants and retail, tennis academy and a Watersport centre. It is also centrally located in the heart of Thailand in Bang Saray Bay, a tropical oasis – 10 minutes from Pattaya and only 90 minutes from Bangkok

Chairman and CEO of Pacific Shore Developments, Liakat Sultan Dhanji, has been responsible for making the brand a success. According to him, Thailand needs something distinctive if it is going to stand out against the stiff competition developing in the region.

V9 Design & Build, were invited to build the resort’s website and, from initial discussions with Mr Dhanji, ideas were centred on creating an architecture that would concentrate on eMarketing by employing Web 2.0 technologies.

Living in Bangkok, you see glitzy front-page supplements that dominate Thailand’s English dailies, full-page magazine and newspaper colour ads that abound large project launches, and the billboards that predominate the city and Skytrain. You can only imagine the cost of such publicity and its significant impact on a project’s bottom line.

That is not to say that elegantly-produced brochures and local media advertising doesn’t have merit, but it has always seemed that it is a sort of marketing overkill — a gunshot rather than rifle approach to project exposure.

Professional blogging: it increases company revenue over time through the marketing and relationship building power. The ability to write effective, interesting, and informative blog posts has proved itself be a highly cost effective option.

It is even more effective when added as a seamless addition to a resort’s website for several reasons. First, Google and the other major search engines like content and change which adds value to a site’s PageRank™; it extends keyword range; it is disseminated to the world’s largest blog directories; and it is accompanied by RSS. Article writing and press releases can be submitted to the world’s largest websites, especially two that are associated with Google and Yahoo.

Over the last few years, search engines have made it increasingly difficult to reach a targeted audience. Gone are the days of mailers, link exchanges and non-industry-related links. Even with ezines, there’s no guarantee you will be read. A great alternative to this is RSS (Really Simple Syndication). It is not a well-known method for companies to publish and distribute content in this format (e.g. publicity releases, news, newsletters and articles). Syndication means you don’t have to visit each site individually to see what’s new — you simply scan headline summaries in a reader and click to read the full text.

Most real estate projects use Flash technology that presents brilliantly-animated images but fail with their eMarketing efforts because of it. Search engines cannot see beyond the front page. There are two large property developers in Thailand, both of which have projects that have only their home pages listed. Both are poor examples of internet marketing and are therefore spending fortunes on print advertising. In contrast, The Beaches will bypass outdated marketing methods by creating a wealth of exposure, both in Thailand and internationally.

The Beaches, to our knowledge, will be the first large-scale real estate development project in Asia to employ Web 2.0 as its online publicity vehicle.

Thailand is a place of attraction for a lot of tourists. Thousands of tourists come here for multiple reasons; but its beaches are one of the attracting spots for many. The country of Thailand is surrounded by beaches like Samet, Chang, Samui and Pha-ngam. Their high count shows that you have many options in the country.

However, only Phuket draws the attention of many people because of its unique features. On top of that, Phuket beaches attract the major mass regularly. The Phuket Island has lovely seashores and is surrounded by hills and forests.

The Phuket beaches are poles apart from other beaches with respect to its size, sanitation, natural beauty, beautiful landscapes and fame. It has become an island of paradise because of its extraordinary beauty. There are many hotels and international restaurants, so that you can make their own choice of accommodation. It has also become a place of recreation, offering variety of sports activities related to water. There are many other wonderful spots, which provide enlightenment as well as cultural shows.

Patong Beach — the most famous of them — is crowded with hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, bars etc. Patong Beach is frequently visited by the people from all over the world. Though it has hotels, restaurants and market places, it is mainly popular among the younger generation.

Kata and Karon among Phuket beaches are also very striking. These beaches are jam-packed for most of the time and people flock in large numbers along the large sandy stretches and dazzling water.

Mai Khao Beach is also amazing. People, who love privacy, will surely enjoy this place. It is a deserted beach. Tourist business is limited. People can swim here during dry season, but it is a dangerous to swim in rainy seasons because of its strong and dangerous waves. Sea turtles are found in large numbers. It is very difficult to reach there, as it is situated at the centre of the island with few shops and restaurants. Still, once there, you would find it to be a great picnic spot for many people.

Nai Yang Beach is situated at the little south of Mai Khao Beach. It has its own special features.

The beach is surrounded by greeneries to give shade to picnickers. The large coral reef is home to many different species of fish. Nai Yang is famous place where sea turtles come to lay their eggs. Good accommodations are available and small food vendors cater to many tourists.

Nai Harn Beach and Laem Sing Beach is also a common one amongst the Phuket beaches, but the beauty of Phuket can only be seen or experienced when you visit the island.

Phuket beaches are some of the most glorious in the region. For more information about the many Phuket beaches on offer, check out these links.

Phuket’s Secret Beaches Oct 20

Phuket’s beaches are world-renowned and tourists flock from across the globe to visit the famous beaches at Patong, Karon, and Kata. So much so that many people complain these beaches have lost their charm. They say Phuket can no longer claim to be an idyllic tropical island getaway. The beaches are too crowded. Sun loungers line the entire length of the beaches, sometimes in rows three or four deep. Jet skis, banana boats and parasail boats plough through the water while vendors ply their wares up and down the beach. They say Phuket is finished as an island getaway destination and only caters to the party crowd.

These people have not spent enough time exploring Phuket. There are more than 40 beaches around Phuket Island and there is something to suit all tastes. If you want a beach with good holiday facilities but not too crowded then Nai Harn, Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao and Nai Yang all have good hotels and restaurants yet do not draw big crowds. If you really want to get away from the crowds then Nai Thon and Mai Khao beaches in the north of the island are usually very quiet.

Still all these beaches are well known in Phuket and firmly in the tourist travel guides. In this article, we will look at some beaches that still remain undiscovered to most tourists. We will not even include Laem Sing or Yanui in this list. They are both charming beaches but they have become well known and usually have plenty of visitors. Some of the following beaches are not even known to many of Phuket’s residents. These are Phuket’s secret beaches.

Banana Beach

This beautiful beach is in the northern half of Phuket between Bang Tao Beach and Nai Thon Beach. It is a lovely two-hundred meter strip of sand, studded with rocks in the middle and ringed with trees. It is a good swimming beach and there is some great snorkeling. There is no accommodation and just a single beach restaurant with a handful of sun loungers at the southern end.

There are usually only a handful of visitors at this beach. The majority of them arrive by longtail boat from other beaches but in fact, you can see the beach from the coast road above and there is a trail down.

Pansea Beach

Right at the northern end of Bang Tao Beach is beautiful and peaceful Pansea Beach. There are two up-market resorts here yet the location retains its refreshing tranquility. Just offshore is Kala Island (or Kata Island depending who you believe) which shelters the shallow bay from waves so it is always calm. The waters are too shallow for swimming and when the tide is out you can walk to the island. It is a great beach for paddling and ideal for children to play. There are no refreshments here so it is a good idea to bring a picnic.

Pon Beach

This secluded little beach is in the headland north of Patong. The locals know it as Nai Yair Beach. It is amazing how few people find this beach considering it is located so close to the hordes at Patong. There is nothing here but a couple of rural shacks and a few grazing cows. It is a sandy beach but not good for swimming due to the rocky seabed. There is some good snorkeling.

There are usually a couple of locals renting sun loungers and selling refreshments. They can also provide you with a small barbecue to cook your own. There may be a small charge for crossing the private land to reach the beach.

Paradise Beach

In the headland south of Patong, there are two beautiful beaches that remain relatively unspoiled. They are not as undiscovered as the other beaches we mention on this list but still a break from the heaving masses at Patong. The first is Paradise Beach. Right at the tip of the headland, you can reach it by road (track) or boat.

It is a beautiful beach with overhanging trees. There is no accommodation but there is a restaurant and there are plenty of sun loungers. The beach is not the best for bathing due to the rocky seabed close to shore but there is some excellent snorkeling. There are usually plenty of people around but still it is surprising how many people in Patong do not know this beach is here.

Freedom Beach

You can only reach this stunning beach by boat. It is in the headland south of Patong all the way around and back towards the Karon Beach side. Still it is well worth the boat ride with fantastic bathing and snorkeling.

There are a couple of restaurants and plenty of sun loungers under the trees. The locals take great care of the beach and it is always pristine. Plenty of people do make this a day trip from Patong but the beach is never crowded and again it is surprising how many people in Patong do not know this beach is here.

Nui Beach

This beach is most known for how difficult it is to reach by land. Located between Kata and Nai Harn, the only way to reach it by land is down a two-kilometer dirt track that is almost impossible to traverse in a car. You can just about do it on a motorbike but it is better to walk or let one of the locals take you down on their ATV for a small fee.

It is also known as the most expensive beach in Phuket because you have to cross private land to reach it and they charge 250 baht for the privilege. This fee does get you a sun lounger and drink. When you do arrive, it is a beautiful secluded spot with good swimming and snorkeling. There is a rustic restaurant overlooking the beach but no accommodation. It is never crowded.

Ao Sane Beach

This beach is in the headland at the north end of Nai Harn Beach. You need to go through Le Meridian Phuket Yacht Club’s car park to reach it but they do not stop you. There is a restaurant here and some budget bungalows by the beach. There are usually a few people around but it is never busy.

It is actually a series of three small beaches split by little rocky headlands. None of them is good for swimming due to rocks and corals close to shore. There is some excellent snorkeling.

Laemka Beach

This little beach is at the southern end of Phuket between Rawai and Friendship Beach. It is not signposted and a little difficult to find but a beautiful spot. The Evason Resort and a small bungalow resort are nearby but still the beach remains quiet. It is one of the few southern beaches where you can have a swim and there are nice views out to the southern islands.

Ao Yon Beach

Nestled deep into Cape Panwa is Ao Yon Beach. This is the best beach on the southern side of Phuket. Although it is well developed with residential property, there are no hotels or restaurants by this beach. It is home to Phuket Yacht Club and there are always plenty of boats moored in the bay.

It is a beautiful stretch of sand and a good bathing beach. It is usually very quiet and a real getaway.

If you want more details about how to find these beaches see our Phuket Beach Guide.

Phuket Beaches Oct 18

Phuket Island is one of the most popular travel destinations of Thailand. One of the main reasons why so many tourists visit Phuket each year is because Phuket has some of the finest beaches in all of Asia. If you love beach holidays then you should definitely consider visiting Phuket on vacation.

Phuket has a large number of beautiful white sandy beaches and most of these amazing Phuket beaches are located on the west coast of the island. If you are planning a trip to Phuket Island then there are several beaches which you should definitely visit and spend some time at. I have listed for you some of the best beaches of Phuket down below.

Nai Harn Beach

Nai Harn beach is my favorite beach on Phuket and many expats prefer to spend their free days at this spectacular beach. There are only a few Phuket resorts at Nai Harn beach which is why you won’t feel crowded at this Phuket beach. There are however a number of great little seafood restaurants along the beach of Nai Harn and prices are generally very affordable. If you are looking for activities then you will also be happy at Nai Harn beach as there is a number of water sport companies located at this beach in Phuket.

Surin Beach

Another very popular Phuket beach among the expat population is Surin beach which is located between Phuket Laguna and Kamala beach. This long white sandy beach is also home to some of the finest seafood restaurants of Phuket. This Phuket beach generally only gets a bit crowded during the high season. There are a few Phuket resorts located in the Surin beach area however this area of the island is generally better known for its high end real estate projects.

Patong Beach

Patong beach is one of the most crowded Phuket beaches however many travelers certainly seem to prefer this. You will never get bored at Patong beach as there are plenty of beach vendors, massage ladies and water sport companies offering you jet skiing, water skiing and parasailing. If you enjoy shopping then please note that there are plenty of shops and boutiques which line the beach road of Patong.

Kata Beach

One of the most popular Phuket beaches is most certainly Kata beach which is located just south of Patong beach. Kata beach is one of the longest beaches of Phuket so you can enjoy up to a certain level of privacy when spending the day at Kata beach. The water of the Andaman Sea is generally very calm during the tourist high season. During the low season there are some waves and during this period of the year you will find local surfers hanging out at this wonderful Phuket beach.

The undersea life here consists of five varieties of coral, like Staho’s Horn Corals, Brain Corals, Mushroom Corals, Soft Corals and Leaf Corals. Now we will take a look at Khao Lak Beach. Amazingly, this beach has yellow sand and some of the most amazing light blue and pristine waters known to man. The layout of the beach is winding and narrow points, with outcrops of rocks which provide breathtaking vistas of the entire area. And you will notice quaint little bungalows along the shore and land that can cost quite a lot of money. Lastly is the West Railay Beach on the coast of Krabi.
