‘Over the last 25 years I’ve watched Thailand change from a backpackers haven to an International destination.Typical ex pat exaggerationï»¿ ‘ I was here first’ Thailand was an International destination over 25 years ago before this guy even dreamed of the place.

We know Rara closely for years. Yes, she is in good health & treated well by her mahouts. Still, she is an hotel baby ele – separated from her mum at too early age,ï»¿ forced to live without a herd as a very social animal, & like all of them, with an unclear fate growing up. Asian eles are very endangered & every ele kept in ok conditions is good & tourism the future. But be a critical tourist and avoid hotel & street elephants, bad trekking etc.) Check ele conservation sites for more info.
